Ann came to our office because she was looking for a dentist to improve her smile. She had just had her braces removed, but she still felt that she could do something more. She said she still felt embarrassed about her smile, and that she still covered her mouth when she spoke with people.
After looking at her photos, Ann and I found that her 2 front teeth had white spots that didn’t go away with teeth whitening. Her lateral, or smaller, incisors, were mis-shapen and not prominent enough. Her canine teeth seemed to ‘disappear’ in her mouth.
Ann achieved her new smile with 6 porcelain veneers. We made the teeth look more natural and feminine to fit her facial features. Ann told us that before her new smile, she felt shy to smile around her own daughter. Now, she cannot smiling wherever she goes!
