Rena, Hygienist
Rena is our dedicated dental hygienist. She is great with kids for their first dental visit, and a pro at handling patients with more advanced needs. Rena's role as hygienist includes making sure all our patients have the education and knowledge to better dental health. She is trained in the latest care for providing gentle and effective preventative and periodontal (gum) treatments. Rena knows that the foundations of a great smile start with healthy gums and bone. Regular dental cleanings are the beginning steps towards overall general health.
Kathy helps make sure the office runs smoothly. As operations manager, Kathy keeps us on schedule because we know your time is valuable. Kathy is knowledgeable about the care we provide and will help you with all your treatment and financial questions. She goes the extra mile to help us and help you get the best possible care.
Bobbie is part of our clinical team. As a certified dental assistant, she has years of experience in the field. Her excellent chair-side skills, caring manner, and excellent knowledge of dentistry make her a true pleasure to work with. Bobbie can answer any questions you may have about the treatment we provide. She is enthusiastic about the great things that Modern Dentistry can do.
Charles Braga, DMD, MMSc
As our periodontists, Dr. Braga visits monthly to provide expert diagnosis and treatment regarding periodontal (bone and gum) health, as well as dental implant procedures.
Dr. Charles Braga graduated magna cum laude from Boston University with degrees in biology and French. He then achieved his DMD degree from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine, again magna cum laude, completing a post-graduate residency program in Periodontics at Harvard. During this residency, he earned his Master of Medical Sciences Degree (MMSc), magna cum laude.
Dr. Braga continues to teach and lecture as a LANAP (Laser-Assisted New Attachment Procedure) trainer with the Institute for Advanced Laser Dentistry in Los Angeles, California. This is an FDA approved, patented protocol for the laser treatment of gum disease. Dr. Braga is a member of the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Periodontology and an elected member of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society. He holds awards for excellence in periodontics from the American Academy of Periodontology and Quintessence Publishing.
In his free time, Dr. Braga enjoys traveling, information sciences, reading, and maintaining close ties with friends in Germany and Austria. If you need his services, you are in great hands!
