Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?
Dr. Saxena’s interest in dentistry was sparked by someone very close to her: her grandfather. He has false
teeth, and she was fascinated at a young age by how they worked. Additionally, one of her cousins had a cleft lip
and palate, and Dr. Saxena was intrigued by how the doctors were working toward restoring it. So, despite the fact
that she was scared of dentists herself, she knew then and there that she wanted to dedicate her life to helping
others in the same way. And the rest, as they say, is history!
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
Dr. Saxena’s journey to becoming the compassionate, meticulous, and trustworthy dentist she is today began in
India. In addition to completing dental school there, she earned her DMD from the Tufts University School of Dental
Medicine. As a dedicated professional, her pursuit of honing her craft didn’t stop there. Today, she is a
proud member of the notable American Dental Association.
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
When Dr. Saxena isn’t helping patients achieve healthier, more beautiful smiles, she loves spending time with
her family. Her husband is a software engineer, and together they have one son, Ekveer, who they love very much.
Some of her other interests include gardening, singing, swimming, and dancing. She often says that if she
wasn’t a dentist, she would be an actor!
